Ce-Ce's Story

| I got Ce-Ce from a horsey friend of mine to keep Gabby company. Right. He ran off and hid for 3 days, even after I kept him for a few hours in the feed room (where the cats are fed). We searched and searched for him. No Ce-Ce. I thought he had been killed or left the farm. After all, my Jack Russell used to think cats were varmits and would have loved to make a kill. 3 days later we heard a "meow" in the hay area and, by sitting patiently and waiting, Ce-Ce came within grabbing range and was causght. I took him back to the feed room where he gulped down 3 cans of cat food! I guess he felt he was owed one for each day that we lost him!
Ce-Ce is the cat who talked Tom (who has recently acquired the regal name of Tom-MOSS) into giving up his wild status and living as a domestic. You can read Tom's Story by clicking here. The funny thing is, Ce-Ce is the only cat I asked for (all the others were wild, abandonded or donated) and the only domestically bred cat, but he is the wildest. He is shy, spends days outside in the woods and has decided that he doesn't like any of the other cats! He is also the only one who is brave enough to walk the rafters in the indoor arena! In this picture, Ce-Ce is sitting between the light panel and the wire panel of the upper part of a stall. He isn't in a cage! |
