ZOE KRAUSE has ridden horses since she was 9. She learned Hunt Seat, Saddleseat and Driving while at Chartier Stables in Marine City. After that, she lived and worked with Mike and Ann Slomkowski at Showcase Stables showing Morgan horses.

When she was 16 and 17, she spent her summers living and working with trainer Jan Muhsam. Subsequent summers were spent showing Blue Water Pleasure Horse Associantion (BWPHA) shows, selected Eastern Michigan Horseman Association (EMHA) shows and Lower Michigan Horseman Association (LMHA) shows. She served a term as Vice President of BWPHA.

Now, having shown horses for 14 years, she teaches Western and Hunt Seat. Zoe likes teaching beginning to intermediate riders, especially children. She excells in teaching horsemanship skills and takes a no-nonsense, logical approach to every problem. She doesn't care if her students are trail riders, show ring riders or "weekend" riders. She enjoys teaching everyone!
Zoe also teaches at other stables, and, if her schedule permits, will book lessons at private farms.

Zoe shared with us some of her favorite snapshots from her years of showing Hunt Seat and Western.
